Want to see an international holiday come into fruition? Keep your eyes on Nike every 3.26 for the coming years. Nike continues to up the ante for their "Air Max Day", and we would not be surprised to see the world celebrate this annually in the future.

This year, Nike invited 16 creatives to propose their vision on the future of Air. Los Angeles had the benefit of being repped by 2 artists, Kyle Ng (Braindead) & Sean Wotherspoon (Round 2). The 16 designs were voted worldwide and the winner will get their design created.

On 3.26, Nike shutdown the street of La Brea; home to Undftd, Stussy and Union. They hosted a secret "Sneakeasy" with full display of past collaborative air maxes, silk screened posters, and a test drive area for their highly anticipated Vapormax.

Luckily for us, Sean Wotherspoon's design won the most votes; his design was an Air Max 97/87 hybrid that was inspired by the various fabrics used in Nike's long history. We were able to witness his celebration in person at the event. To cap it off, Travis Scott performed dead center on La Brea. Congratulations to all the artists involved in this special project.
